Engineering Manager-MPG

Responsibilities and Details

MPG\'s Shanghai Development Team is looking for a Senior Engineering
Manager to help lead our engineering teams in the development of new
notebook reference designs and products.

Job Deion: Plans, provides resources for and directs activities
in
engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost. Cultivates
and reinforces appropriate group values, norms and behaviors.
Identifies
and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions. Provides guidance
on
employee development, performance, and productivity issues. Plans and
schedules daily tasks\'\' uses judgment on a variety of problems
requiring deviation from standard practices. Inadequacies and erroneous
decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense.


Qualifications

The successful candidate is expected to have a solid understanding of
electronic equipment design (PC or notebook preferred) and project
management. 5+ years of engineering experience is required.

3+ years of management experience is required. A bachelor\'s degree in
electrical engineering, computer engineering, or similar degree is
required. In addition, an MBA degree is desired.

Candidate must demonstrate exceptional people and project management
skills.



Senior Notebook Architect

Job Deion: Researches, designs, develops, and tests a
variety of electronic equipment and systems. Responds to customer/client
requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems
utilizing formal education and judgment.

Qualifications
Candidate should possess an EE/ME BS degree or relevant
educational qualification with more than 7 years of relevant design or industry
experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Strong influence, communication, and teamwork skills to ensure the
strong bonds with customer technical team, ODM technical teams, internal
CBB, electrical, thermal and mechanical teams.
- Strong leadership skills also essential to lead or influence a
cross-discipline group of engineers and marketing within CPG, MPG, external
customers and component suppliers.
- Must understand the current notebook system design methodology
- Strong background in electrical engineering is desirable; prefer to
have thorough knowledge of one or more technical areas such as hardware,
software/BIOS/FW, thermal and mechanical.

Senior Mechanincal Engineer

Responsibilities and Details

Job Deion: Mechanical Engineers research, design, and
develop mechanical and electromechanical devices or systems.
Responsibilities include development of system concepts, conducting design previews,
performing system acceptance, and resolving design and implementation
issues. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Qualifications
You must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical
Engineering or a related discipline with seven years of experience.
Relevant mechanical design experience in notebook design would be an added
advantage. Additional qualifications include:
- Proficiency in Pro Engineer tools
- Project and people management experience
- Familiar with notebook PC design
- Results oriented
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with various manufacturing processes, including sheet
metal forming, die casting, extrusion, injection molding, machining,
stamping


Program manager

Responsibilities and Details

Job Deion: Plans/manages technical programs or projects to
meet specific objectives or goals. Provides leadership for the project
team and key interfaces to the project or program. Works on
problems/tasks in delivery of a specific product or service. Identify tasks,
determine dependencies, identify and assign specific resources, communicate
expectations to team members, obtain task effort and duration
estimates from team members, and create/track the project schedule. Assess risk
and identify issues. Monitor progress against schedule. Coordinate
resources with other functions. Review user and technical requirements for
completeness and clarity. Requires thorough knowledge of business
practices and procedures in order to perform non repetitive, analytical
work. Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

Qualifications
You should possess a relevant degree with more than five years
of experience. A technical degree is a plus. Additional qualifications
include:
- Knowledge of PC Architecture, chassis and system design, mobile
notebook development process, third party design houses, and Original
Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) product
development models
- Self-directed
- Excellent verbal or written English communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in multi-discipline teams
- Capability to lead multiple tasks and projects
- Requires thorough knowledge of business practices and procedures in
order to perform non repetitive, and analytical work
