John 14:23 If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. (KJV)
1 John 2:4-65But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. (KJV)
1 John 4:
7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
13 We know that we belong to him and he belongs to us. He has given us his Holy Spirit.
14 The Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. We have seen it. We give witness to it.
15 God lives in anyone who agrees that Jesus is the Son of God. That kind of person remains joined to God.
16 So we know that God loves us. We depend on it.
16 God is love. Anyone who leads a life of love shows that he is joined to God. And God is joined to him.
17 So love is made complete among us. We will be bold on the day God judges us. That's because in this world we love as Jesus did. 18 There is no fear in love. Instead, perfect love drives fear away. Fear has to do with being punished. The one who fears does not have perfect love.
19 We love because he loved us first. 20 Anyone who says he loves God but in fact hates his brother or sister is a liar. He doesn't love his brother or sister, whom he has seen. So he can't love God, whom he has not seen.
21 Here is the command God has given us. Anyone who loves God must also love his brothers and sisters.
1 John 5: 3For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

It is only in the path of love -- love in practical exercise seeking to be perfect love -- that this wondrous blessing can be found: God abiding in us, and we in Him. And it is only by the Holy Ghost that we can know that we have it. God abiding in us, and His love perfected in us: God is Love; how sure it is that He longs to abide with us! God is Love, who sends forth the Spirit of His Son to fill the hearts that are open to Him: how sure it is that we can be perfected in love. A perfect heart can count upon being filled with a perfect love: let nothing less than perfect love be our aim, that we may have God abiding in us, and His love perfected in us; we shall know it by the Spirit which He has given us.
