Market view Update (9/22/08)

        今天的盘基本上还是在预期的范围内的但是振幅比预期的要大。三大指数不但填满了上周五留下的空，而且把周五的涨幅都回吐了。政府的救市计划没有能在周末被国会通过是今天 Sell off 的主因。加上美元大幅回调，石油合同到期日触发“空杀空”的局面，使原油价格在没有任何重大消息的情况下一度暴涨达 $25. 这些因素加重了今天的抛盘。

        S&P 又到了一个关键的门槛，明天是关键的一天，如果 S&P 不能收在 1200 以上，则有恢复原来跌势的可能。目前对近期仍维持区间震荡的判断。 震荡的范围调整为 1200- 1292。 中，长期下降趋势不变。 SEC 对 799 个 Financial related stocks 实行的 short ban  对市场有较明显的影响，改变了一些 financial short fund, ultraShort fund risk/reward ratio, 需要注意。今天的交易量比上周五有明显的减弱。明天有回涨的希望。因为填空，和初步的 consolidation 的动作已经完成。 

        今天美元的大幅回落及10 年T-Bill 的抛售和政府的700B 救市计划有关。增加了今后美元贬值和通货膨胀的机会。 不过，现在就下结论说美元的升势已经结束还为时过早。美元的升势依然保持无损。而石油的暴涨仍然是短期现象，是由于空头回补造成的。明天开始，就有可能回落。不过对美元和石油的动向应该密切注视，对大盘的走势有影响。

 在这过渡期间，仍以观察为主，少做交易。

Thank you for the updating. You are a honest man. I covered my put too before it dropped below 20. I think it will be safer to open the position a few minutes before the market closed. What do you think of credit spread? It has limited risk and limited profit.

I have a question for you: if the gov bailout plan include government taking an ownership stake in the troubled companies it bails out, how this will affect the stock price of the affected financial companies? Will this dilute the shareholders?
