与网友聊天，谈到“死亡诗社”(death poet society)， 我说那是我最喜欢的电影之一，于是要我把最喜欢的电影列一列。呵呵，我想美国人说this is my favorite的时候是有点随意的，但我说的my favorite movie主要是指那些曾经感动过我，并在我生命中影响着我的电影，如果有时间，我愿意再看一遍。
1。 Running Brave (1983)。 看这部影片是在十多年前，当时正处于困惑期，这部电影让我震撼。电影是基于一个真实的故事。主人公名叫Billy Mills，来自一个印第安人的部落，在五六十年代，种族歧视仍很严重。尽管他因为擅长跑步而获得大学奖学金，却被同学歧视，难以适应白人的文化。他曾一度想休学，但他叔叔的死让他振作。他叔叔个很有成就的艺术家。他叔叔死前曾对billy说过一番话，大意是我曾经有机会走出印第安人的保留地，最终因为受挫折而退回，但我很后悔，你要勇敢地向前冲，不要象我这样颓废。Billy重返校园，争取到代表美国参加1964 年东京奥运会的资格，并在一万米长跑中的最后关头奇迹般的后来居上，获得冠军。( Billy 的传记见 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Mills ) 。
电影的细节已经记不清了，依稀记得影片中有Billy在野外风中长跑的镜头。其实，人生中很多时段都是一个人在长跑，唯一鼓舞自己跑下去的是对生命的热爱和超越自己的决心。
youtube 上找不到电影剪接，附上一段他最后冲刺的纪录片。netflix 有这部影片，如果你正在人生低谷，建议你去借来看一看。
