Mountain House, called gateway of CA Central Valley to Bay Area, a master planned brand new city (since 2003), ~60 miles to San Jose or San Francisco/Oakland.
Just signed a contract for $626,900 (listed now $679,950, from the highest list $778,900) Palisades Residence Plan 3: 4b/4.5ba/3car 4021sf Lennar Homes. See detail at

This price is discounted for July close promo with 1% internet discount (no agent) and must sign the contract before 5/31.
Prepared for the long commute (living in Tracy for 5 years, take train to work, partly work at home).
I doubt if the price will going down much further. It cost $155/sf.When the community was started in 2003, similar models would be $550k,but went as high as the $778,900 or moew. The price I signed probably got back to mid-2004 price.
Any comment?
