Milestone and evaluation

My understanding to have a physical checkup is to find out whether your baby meets the average developmental level/milestone. The speed of development varies case by case is very normal. It is difficult for a mom to decide at what point you should consider bringing your baby to an evaluation, and for lots people evaluation means something might “go wrong".

My observation tells me an evaluation is to help to find out whether your baby needs help or not due to the delay of development. It doesn’t mean to find out whether your baby has any physical or mental problem, so why brother not going to have an evaluation when your PD recommends one, especially on speech delay.
