Auto Body Dent Repair

Introduction
A small dent can be pulled out with little difficulty.
Instructions

Steps

Step One
Drill a hole in the center of the dent.

Step Two
Insert a dent pulling tool in the hole.

Step Three
Pull on the tool until the dent pops out or appears flat.

Step Four
Remove the dent pulling tool.

Step Five
Crawl under the car with a metalworking hammer and a dolly (see Glossary).

Step Six
Bang out the back of the dent carefully until smooth.

Step Seven
Fill the hole with body filler.

Step Eight
Cover the area with touch-up paint.
Tips & Warnings

* Large dents may be more easily fixed by replacing an entire body panel.
* If the dent is on a fender, be careful not to pop the tire when drilling.
