　　古世龙(秦沛)乃酒厂当家，因顾念情义而收留旧情人的私生子阿纯(林家栋)。纯寄人篱下，饱受屈辱，幸其生性豁达，毫不介意任低微的“酒尾公”。

　　世龙妹古瑶(邓萃雯)处处关怀纯，纯对瑶早生情愫，惜瑶念念不忘已逝世的蒸煮师傅裘真(曾伟权)，不能释怀。世龙独子桂生(马德钟)为国从军，音讯杳然，古家以为其已死，替他安排冥婚，
新娘是以拉横水渡为生的黎顺风(佘诗曼)。

　　顺风为人执着、硬朗，与古家上下皆合不来，幸得纯从旁劝解，人才像美酒经过蒸酿般越见醇厚。纯其后拜“火王”金吉祥(元华)为师；祥早期丧妻，与瑶同病相怜，发展成一对斗气冤家。

　　世龙中风，古家内部争权夺利，闹得天翻地覆，风只好以大少奶身份担起当家之位，与纯合力助酒厂度过难关。二人日久生情，岂料生却于此时突然回家。风已为人妻，纯重情义，二人能否冲破沉重的道德枷锁，以真爱酿出醉人美酒？
