年纪虽小，眼光独到
1896 年 3 月 1 日，哈里·温斯顿出生于美国，他的父亲在 1888 年时开了一个小小珠宝店，自小耳濡目染，训练出他对珠宝特别敏锐的观察与鉴定力。 12 岁时，他以 25 分钱，在一家当铺廉价出售的假珠宝中买到一颗 2 克拉重的祖母绿宝石，这段传奇般的小故事，成为哈里·温斯顿珠宝生涯的开始。
开创独特的商路
1920 年，年轻的哈里，带着存下的 2000 美金来到纽约，在第五大道开了一家“一人”公司： Premier Diamond Company ，专门经营钻石买卖。为了在纽约珠宝界打出天下，几经实验与观察后，他找到一个具有特性，竞争又少的路子低价收购旧珠宝饰品，卸下宝石，重新切磨，使它们变得耀眼光灿，再以当时最时髦的镶法，镶成崭新的首饰出售。如此“汰旧换新”的手法为哈利开了条财路。两年内就积下了不少的钱及珠宝存货。不幸的是，这些钱与珠宝不久便被他的助手席卷而走。但身无分文的哈里凭着他的胆识与信心很快便反败为胜，从此以后，他的珠宝之路开始出现前所未有的坦途。
奇人轶事添佳话
1932 年，哈里·温斯顿已是一名成功的珠宝商，他结束了原来的小公司，以自己的名字为招牌，成立了新公司。他交游极广，豪富名媛，无不相识，自己也成为纽约社交圈中的名人。哈里·温斯顿珠宝店的顾客，包括了欧、亚各个大小王室：尼泊尔、印度、伊朗、沙特阿拉伯、摩纳哥、英国等的王、后、王子、公主。还有美国本地的铁路、石油、报业大亨、工商界巨子、政经领袖、电影明星（如玛丽莲·梦露、伊莉沙白·泰勒等），全是“世界级”的名人，不胜枚举。有一回哈里在日内瓦巧遇度假的某阿拉伯王，一口气向哈利买了数百万美金的珠宝，还意犹未尽，想再买 6 只钻石手镯，当他见到哈里的钻石手镯后，一下子被吸引住，竟然买下了 80 只，这倒真是符合哈里·温斯顿“大气派、高目标”的原则。
创造杰作
1949 年 11 月，哈里·温斯顿 推出了一个史无前例的展览，定名为“珠宝宫”（ The Court Of Jewels ）。所展出的钻石、宝石，几乎都可冠上“世界之最”的美名。其中包括 46 克拉的希望之钻（ Hope Diamond ）， 95 克拉的东方之星钻石（ Star Of The East ）， 126 克拉的洋客钻石（ Jonker ）， 337 克拉的凯瑟琳蓝宝石（ Catherie The Creat Sapphire ）等硕大绝美的宝石，还有许多具有历史价值的钻石及祖母绿项链。 1978 年，哈里逝世，他的儿子朗诺·温斯顿成为接班人，他运用其所学知识，将家传的事业带入一个新纪元。 1990 年哈里·温斯顿钟表（ UITmate Timepiece ）部门成立，制作出的手表与哈里·温斯顿出品的珠宝一样珍贵，这些表全都由世界知名的 Lloyd's Of London 保险公司免费保一年的遗失、盗窃险，这样的服务在首饰界尚属首创。
顶级珠宝 Harry Winston 梦露般璀璨

从 2000 年起，品牌也开始推出男性功能表，每年都要邀请一位顶尖的独立制表师，以特别创制的机芯结构，为 OPUS 系列再添新员。 2001 年的 Opus One 请到了Fran-cois-PualJOURNE ；次年的 Opus Two 则由 An-toinePreZiuso 担纲，创造性地将万年历放置在表背，且全球仅限量供应 12 只。物以稀为贵，也难怪影星梅尔·吉普森会以足够买下一台小型潜水艇的 2.4 万美元换得一块 Harry Winston 的纯白金表。
８月１日，拥有「钻石王」美誉的Harry Winston腕表虽只短短十多年的光景，由零开始的经营，却已将其瑰丽的钻石革命融入精密的腕表工艺上，成功打正rare timepiece的旗号。

刚于今年瑞士巴塞尔鐘表展发表的新作中，焦点之一可算是Knotted Marquesa，灵感来自大自然蝴蝶艳丽倩影，在鏤空的铂金上以共重达24.5卡的欖尖形及圆形切割美钻精緻地setting排列，绝对是sophistiscated之作，于腕表世界里同样创造华丽的jewelry piece。

The time can be read
through 6 "portholes" through which 10 discs, rotating independently display the
hours (top outer portholes), the minutes (lower outer portholes) and the date
(center top and center lower porthole). To avoid the dial from being too static
before a change of hour or minute, the upper date aperture displays a countdown
of the final four seconds of the minute.

The movement, which
took almost 2 years to develop, comprises 2 distinct mechanisms: one for time,
the other for function. The time mechanism consists of the "traditional"
elements such as barrel, train, escapement etc.. whereas the function mechanism,
totally independent drives the discs. These discs (of a total of 10) are linked
by their axis to the time mechanism underneath. The movement of the Opus 3
consists of more than 250 components of which 98% were made by Vianey Halter
himself.

The Opus 3 broke all the rules of time display and design and is produced in
a limited series of 55 pieces, 25 in 18-carat rose
gold, 25 in platinum 950PT and 5 in platinum 950PT set with white Harry Winston
diamonds.
Christopher Claret continued the series with his
amazing musical Opus IV in 2004.

The 'traditional' Opus IV featured tourbillon, cathedral gong minute
repeater, date and large central moonphase on two separate dials.

platinum 950PT, two of which will be with baguette or princess-cut
diamonds.
