Dear sir or madam,

There is a huge mistake in the opening ceremony.

How could you use lion to represent China and dragon for Japan?

Dragon has been the only icon of China for more than 6000 years. Our ancestor was known as "the Emperor of Dragons". Every emperor in our history was called as "the Dragon on Earth".

The opening is a huge damage to the feeling of all Chinese. I am so disappointed that you spent no effort on understand other's culture and history.

and for Japan, they never heard of a thing called dragon until 2000 years ago. and they've never dared to use it as an icon until "the fall of Chinese empire" in 18th century. How could dragon ever be their icon?

I hope that you could correct your mistake in the closing ceremony.
