List all employment history?

I have a question. Please help. When I apply for a new job, do I have to list all my previous job history? Since some of my previous employments are totally irrelavent (temperal job) to my major, I am thinking just to list those relevent ones. Is this legally OK? If the future employer finds out my employment history is incomplete, what is the consequesnce? Thank you for your advices.
