【劇情介紹】：
　　飞鸿自小丧母，跟随父亲黄麒英四处流浪，在街头卖艺卖药为生。飞鸿生性聪明，冲动好胜，爱抱打不平，又自恃武功了得，常以武力替人出头。麒英虽然也富正义感，亦是一代宗师，唯不主张儿子凡事以武力解决，只希望儿子可以用心习医，继承自己衣砵做个出色的跌打医师。孝顺的飞鸿亦尽量听从父亲，在父亲面前尽量装作乖乖仔，事事都由父亲出头，因知道麒英不认同甚么集各家之大成，于是瞒着父亲偷偷研习各家各派武功，但只要父亲不在，其不平则鸣之性格便会毫无隐藏地表露无遗。  
　　二人自飞鸿母亲离世后，便因为不受亡母外家欢迎而离开佛山。这次适逢流浪到广州，飞鸿又很想回乡，麒英便答应返佛山一行。二人回到佛山，始知飞鸿外祖父母已经移居花旗国，只有亡母的妹妹宝姨一人因为逃婚、没多久前才回到佛山，还打算经营一家西茶馆。宝父母家境不错，只觉当日女儿委身下嫁一个武夫，最后更病故，故对麒英有所埋怨。宝曾于国外居住，思想洋化，与有点迂腐守旧的麒英常常斗气，后来却发生了微妙的感情。
　　飞鸿甫到了佛山，热心助人之性格未改。先是遇上懦弱怕事的猪肉佬林世荣，猪肉荣与街市一干小贩常被果栏小恶霸简坚欺凌。飞鸿替众人出头，还教晓猪肉荣可以武自强。经此一役后，飞鸿开始教世荣功夫，也收了另一个徒弟牙擦苏，唯阿苏有读书天份，但学功夫又是另一回事，常闹出不少笑话。
　　戴啸天乃佛山蔡李佛门下的大弟子，但竟然亦是麒英收过的唯一一个徒弟。啸天跟妹妹小婷本乃一富裕商人之子女，多年前父亲死前托孤给麒英，麒英收啸天为徒弟，但啸天却误会麒英把亡父遗下的拳谱吞占，毅然带着妹子另奔前程，过着清苦的流浪生活。
　　时佛山有一米商之独子梁宽闻得飞鸿竟然能以一敌十救出猪肉荣，刚对功夫产生兴趣的他竟然跑去挑战飞鸿！飞鸿胸襟广阔，真性情兼毫不记仇，而梁宽眼见飞鸿对一班徒弟俨如对兄弟手足一样，渐被感化，最后更化敌为友，跟飞鸿学起武功来。
