When I was a little boy
I was looking at the sky
and I asked the stars above:
What is love?
Will I find my valentine?
Is her heart already mine?
Tell me who’s the “only one”
(my) whole life long?
(Is) there a soul that’s always true?
(Some) one who tells me “I love you”?
(With) smiling eyes that shine so bright
day and night?

Is she sing’n a lovely tune
while i’m yearning to the moon?
Here’s the answer that I got...:
Save your dreams and your desire
deep inside your heart!
Then heaven will start
to show you the way!

Let it burn, start the fire!
You’ll see it will grow!
Someday you will know
when love’s here to stay!
As they whispered in my ear
I could feel a lonely tear,
falling gently, soft and low
into snow.

I could even realize,
that it turned to solid ice,
looking like a little star
from afar.
(When) I got near I saw a light,
(the) tear was glowing through the night
(and) I could hear a lovely sound
all around.

(Then) suddenly to my surprise
(my) little star began to rise,
up and high into the blue...:
Send your tears and your desire
high up to the stars!
Then Venus and Mars
will watch over you!
Your heart is a sapphire!
It always will show,
when lights are too low,
if your love is true!

After many passing years
and uncounted salty tears,
travelling all around the world,
getting hurled...
now I found my lovely star,
always near and yet too far.
So we’re going hand in hand
(Un) til the end.
Truely following the light,
at the end I got my bride,
that once used to be a part
of my heart.

Now at last I understand
what the stars placed to my hand.
(When) it appeared out of the blue...
the star was YOU!!!
Everyone has got a star
in heaven above
to find the one love
the one that is true.
As you don’t know how far
(is) the way to your heart
you just have to start
(to) believe in you!
