American Southwest (5) - Mesa Verde National Park, CO

Mesa Verde National Park is huge and sounds like they get tons of visitors in the summer. But if you come in the winter like we did, the ranger-guided hikes are not offered, and pretty much our car was the only car in the parking lot. The place looked deserted.
