Spain and Portugal (10) - Queluz National Palace

(2015-01-22 18:19:11) 下一个

Initially I planned to do Sintra and Queluz in one day (they are 20 minutes from each other by train), but when I got to Lisbon, the hotel lady told me that there are so much to do in Sintra that there is no way I can do Sintra and Queluz in one day, so we visited Queluz on a separate day.

From Rossio Train Station, Queluz is about 20 minutes away. We used our Lisbon Card for the train ride. After getting off the train, there was no sign for which direction to walk for the palace, we had to ask a shop owner at the train station. They really need to install more signs for the tourists. The palace is nice, but nothing compared to Versailles. The best part of the visit was that there was hardly any visitor there, so it was almost like we had the whole palace to ourselves.

1. It is about a 20-minutes’ walk from the train station to the palace. We saw this cute little house along the way.
