莲波所译《绿袖》（GREENSLEEVES）

《绿袖》（lady greensleeves），又译为《绿袖姑娘》、《袖底风》，是一首在伊丽莎白一世时代就已广为流传英国民谣，此歌相传是英国国王亨利八世所作（他同时又是一位出色的长笛演奏家）。传说亨利八世曾爱上一位身着绿衫的美丽姑娘，名字叫做安妮-波琳，姑娘与他相约有期，但是，分手之后就再无音信，从而留给亨利八世一生的忧思。

《绿袖》（lady greensleeves），旋律古典优雅，是一首忧伤的爱情歌曲，在欧美各国广为传唱，更在19世纪中叶演变为一首“圣诞专用歌曲”，很多著名的世界级音乐家都将其作为自己的首要的演出曲目。

莲波在1995年翻译此诗，并在USENET newsgroup ACT(alt.chinese.text)上发表。
