从1300年开始，眼镜出现在意大利的威尼斯。有人考证说，真正的眼镜的发明者是一个名叫萨尔沃·德格里阿买提的佛罗伦萨人，他约死于1317年。在14世纪的上半叶，在意大利的许多地方就已经出现了眼镜制造厂，可见当时眼镜已被广泛使用。威尼斯是当时的眼镜制造中心，它还对眼镜的制造和销售作出了具体规定。http://www.kepu.com.cn/gb/ezine/ez05.html
