Here are some of the highlights: Biometrics Notices * Once the Application for Employment Authorization (I-765) has been filed, the NBC forwards the necessary information to USCIS headquarters to initiate the local immigration office scheduling process. * The actual date that the appointment notice is scheduled, the date the notice is sent, and the appointment date itself are all dependent on the capacity of the applicant’s local immigration office. * Some local offices have a greater demand than others, which will affect how long it takes after filing for the applicant to be scheduled. USCIS is aware of the scheduling problem and is working to ensure applicants receive timely biometrics appointments. * If more than 90 days have passed since filing your I-765 and you have not yet been scheduled for a biometrics appointment, the most effective means to deal with this is to make an Infopass appointment to request the biometrics appointment. Lost EADs · If you are aware that your I-765 has been approved but you have not received the EAD, you must call USCIS to see if the EAD was returned as undeliverable mail. If so, they will re-mail the EAD to the updated address. · If the EAD has not been returned as undeliverable and there is every indication that it was sent to the current and complete address, USCIS will not issue another EAD. You will need to file a new I-765, with fee, for another EAD. · This procedure also applies to lost Advanced Parole Documents and lost Lawful Permanent Resident Cards.
