This Bulletin shows strong movement for both the first and second preference Employment-based categories, including a six month jump for first preference and second preference applicants from China and India. As usual, the least amount of movement is seen in the Employment based third preference category, where there was very little movement across the board. Please review this chart to see if your priority date is current. Remember that if you are a Labor Certification beneficiary, your priority date is determined by the date on which your employer filed your Labor Certification. If you skipped the Labor Certification stage, then your priority date is the date on which you filed your I-140.
