if stupidity doesn't push Taiwan in the war first, the united Korea will be the only true worthwhile worry.

Japan has no power yet and has too much more to loss. Korea, on the other hand, has potentially much more to gain. They have long nationalism against China. (Face the fact people) Tactically they have more than a few thousand of tanks combined, and have a few nuke toys to post blackmail with, and can possibly achieve an advantage in a limited area and within a certain short time frame.

The key area for development for the new Chinese hawks to worry should not be the outer space... god there is no immediate enemy there, to provoke US at such an early stage is not even as smart as the Pearl Harbor. What they should focus on is things like Apache helicopter anti-tank systems etc, because after all, as of now, Beijing is within range of a dirty missile from the never grateful wolf.
