Just came back from my first European trip, have to write something about it… Spent 12 days – my first vacation in the past five years – in Paris, Stockholm and Oslo. Why Stockholm and Oslo? Well, because of Lars – I like traveling with local people, so easy and a lot more fun.
Lars and I met at Paris airport, I came from SFO he came from Sweden, our trip started with a nice hug. Paris is a city that is so unforgettable. Buildings are all white, restaurants, stores, fashion, women, men, and motorcycles. We walked around the city every single day. We purposely picked some small streets and visited local stores. I saw the famous Venice and the smile of Mona Lisa, had great foods Funny thing is that I was emailing a client about his question while climbing the tower J Paris has so many histories, everywhere you go, you encounter with something hundreds of years old. Statures, arts, buildings… Living in a city like that, people become elegant and romantic naturally. The last day we stayed in Paris, it was the famous France the tour.
Stockholm is 2 and half hours away flight, it is called Northern Venice. We spent a day on the water, watching beautiful sailing boats from all over the world, mainly from other European countries. It is not a big city, but very clean and stylized. Foods are different, have raw fishes, cheeses and bread.
After arriving Oslo, Lars’ vacation time is over, the rest a few days, I wondered around Oslo’s streets and shops on my own, bought most of the clothes in Oslo – not in Paris J I like Northern fashion’s design, more simple and elegant.
Because of the weakness of the US dollars, traveling to Europe becomes really expense. But I had such a great time, so did Lars.
