A complete salvation 14: to be a saint (11): To be one in Jesus Christ <2>
Dear All:
All glories, praises and thanks be to God - the only One worthy to receive glories, praises and thanks.
"Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be glory, because of your love and faithfulness." (PSALMS 115:1)
A complete salvation 14: to be a saint (11): To be one in Jesus Christ <2>
(2) One Spirit:
"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever - the Spirit of truth. ... But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. ...Because I (Jesus Christ) live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you." (JOHN 14:16-20)
"You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you." (ROMANS 8:9-11)
"We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us." (1 CORINTHIANS 2:12)
"After beginning with Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?" (GALATIANS 3:3)
"But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit - just as it has taught you, remain in him." (1 JOHN 2:27)
"So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want." (GALATIANS 5:16-17)
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." (2 CORINTHIANS 3:17-18)
"But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit." (1 CORINTHIANS 6:17)
"Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us." (1 JOHN 3:24)
(3) One mind and one attitude:
"If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: ... he humbled himself and became obedient to death - even death on a cross! ..." (PHILIPPIANS 2:1-11)
"It is because of him (God) that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption." (1 CORINTHIANS 1:30)
"No one who lives in him (Jesus Christ) keeps on sinning." (1 JOHN 3:6)
"Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other." (GALATIANS 5:23-26)
"But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." (1 CORINTHIANS 6:11)
"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. ... And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." (COLOSSIANS 3:12-14)
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." (GALATIANS 5:22)
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7)
"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace." (COLOSSIANS 3:15)
"God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth." (1 JOHN 1:5-6)
"You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness." (EPHESIANS 4:20-24)
"But we have the mind of Christ." (1 CORINTHIANS 2:16)
All glories, praises and thanks to God.
God bless us to be one in Jesus Christ
In Jesus
