“To Be One in Christ” is the Word of Eternal Life

1. “To Be One in Christ” is the prayer of LORD Jesus Christ for all the believers:

“Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name--the name you gave me--so that they may be one as we are one. ” ( JOHN 17:11 )

“"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. ” ( JOHN 17:20-23 )

2. “To Be One in Christ” is the mystery of the will of God for us:

“And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment--to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. ” ( EPHESIANS 1:9-10)

“This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. ” ( EPHESIANS 3:6)

3. “To Be One in Christ” is the word of eternal life:

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. ” ( ROMANS 6:23 )

“I (Jesus Christ) tell you the truth, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death." ” ( JOHN 8:51 )

“once made perfect, he (Jesus Christ) became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him ” ( HEBREWS 5:9 )

“Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. ” ( HEBREWS 7:25 )

“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. ” ( 1 JOHN 5:11-12)
