Good Position! Research Assistant or Research Associate position are available at The Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases. Applications should have (i) an MPhil degree or Ph.D degree in biological/biochemical/ medical science or a related programme; (ii) at least two years P2 or P3 experience; (iii) experience on tissue culture and virus culture; (iv) basic molecular biology knowledge and experience, such as PCR, RNA extraction and RT-PCR; (v) enthusiasm and teammate-ship; (vi) ability to work independently; and (vii) the ability to communicate scientific data properly with group members. The appointee will (a) perform research on HIV, avian flu virus, SARS coronavirus, etc. (b) perform laboratory work for a study of the drug candidates on a variety of cellular events; (c) use different biological approaches for activity assay; and (d) maintain an accurate and complete documentation of laboratory data.
