My impeachment trial prediction was very wrong

I have to admit that I am very disappointed with the outcome of Trump's second impeachment trial. 43 senators, including Mitch McConnell himself, voted against their conscience despite overwhelming evidence that Trump was guilty of inciting the insurrection. I don't blame them. They have a family to feed and they need to hold on to the power. Today's voting set a very bad precedence in US history and GOP will pay the price in the years to come. However, I am glad to see that seven Republican senators voted with their conscience and that gave me hope. Regardless of today's outcome, I think Trump has no chance whatsoever to be re-elected POTUS.
