Rosetta

 

I fell for a girl named Rosetta.

She told me she survived a legendary vendetta.

It was a battle for an ancient stone,

inscribed with codes deciphering her heart.

The foes refused to truce and atone, 

at their hands the stone had come apart.

Unable to piece back the stone the foes left her alone.

I bursted out “how come you look like a young girl?” 

She answered “Because my heart’s still an undiscovered pearl.”
