美国的小提琴家约夏贝尔演奏这首舒伯特的小夜曲据说是创作于舒伯特去世前半年内，采用的是德国诗人莱尔斯塔勃的诗篇，表达的是夜晚年轻男子对心爱的姑娘的爱慕之心。它和同期创作的另外13首歌一起被汇编成集，取名为天鹅之歌。此曲可为钢琴，小提琴，吉他，或曼陀铃等演绎。
