Book: Creating Great Choices

这本书讲，如何在摒弃传统的“舍二取一”思维。

Main Points：

1. create 2 opposing models for the solution of a problem

2. examine the 2 models (understand the logic of each model)

根据特点可以画两个ladders.  帮助理解。(vivid picture!)

3. 吸取俩个的精华，创造一个新MODEL。3个方法：

   1) Hidden jem (get the best gem from each model and combine to create a new model)

   2) Double-down (find the most valuable jem and double it in the new model)

   3) Decomposition (you will need to break the problem apart and apply one solution to each. “I want all of both.”)

4. 做一个prototype并且进行模型评估 （when trying to communicate a new idea, try using storytelling, visualizing, or modeling—words, pictures, and/or objects. Look for ways to disprove the idea or under what conditions might it not work. In this way, you can finds ways to strengthen the idea.）

1.  Tennis Canada (created a hybrid based on USA model and French model)

2.  Southwest Airlines (3 point picture for point-to-point flights: Auston, Dallas, Houston)
