Trump: German American

(2016-06-07 09:58:13) 下一个

Can you take on your own countryman? Westerns can if coming to principle ! Making a point by witty joking - that's democratic. Ideolism leads the world if you can inspire. Drop off those name-calling, dirty yelling, racial haters, persona attacks - none of these with substance/value, if you'll.

Both Meryl Streep and Trump are German Americans, more than 1/5 (28%) of them in the US, including Albert Eistein, five-star general/President Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower , an American politician and general who served as the 34th President of the United States from 1953 until 1961.

Some said Hillary got all from his husband. Really? hey, "Ninety-six years after women won the right to vote" - do you fellow ladies vote? Do you know that Hillary was the first valedictorian (some of moms know that) and was on the cover of Life magazine at Wesley College before she met Bill Clinton? Neither to say she as a profile lawyer supported Bill as governer with $27,000/year at Arkansas - she paid her dues over the years and earned every penny on her own.

I respect her as person, but neither to say I agree on her policy - at least, she put her policy of workable, contrast to those two men (Sanders, Trump) - not much of workable policy and planning, a decent act for voters. For men only, Thinking of your own mom, your own wife, those ladies around you, their decency and details-oriented/disciplinary toughen-out in any situations can shape you, your family, essential for life. 96 years - so long so far in making.

O.M.G.

From Julia Child and Margaret Thatcher to the Queen, Meryl Streep is known for transforming herself into any character. And on Monday, she took on what might be her most delicious role yet – Donald Trump – and the result is downright amazing.

Streep, 66, took the stage dressed as the presumptive Republican presidential nominee alongside onetime Mamma Mia! costar Christine Baranski (who was dressed as Hillary Clinton) at the annual Shakespeare in the Park Public Theater Gala event in New York City.

The three-time Oscar-winning actress donned Trump's signature hairstyle, an orange tan and a fat suit for her performance. She looked nearly unrecognizable in a dark suit with an extra-long red tie.

The two actresses performed a rendition of "Brush Up Your Shakespeare" from Cole Porter's Broadway classic Kiss Me, Kate.

"You'll let me know why it is all the women say no," Streep belted out on stage.

Streep for vice president, perhaps?

  • Meryl Streep impersonated Donald Trump at the annual Shakespeare in the Park Public Theater Gala in Central Park
  • She was there along with "Mamma Mia!" and "Into the Woods" co-star Christine Baranski

(CNN)Academy award-winning actress Meryl Streep raised the bar for Donald Trump impersonators everywhere on Monday night when she dressed up -- sporting orange makeup, a wig and an overstuffed suit -- and performed as the billionaire businessman at a New York theater gala.

Streep was there along with "Mamma Mia!" and "Into the Woods" co-star Christine Baranski -- herself dressed as Hillary Clinton -- acting out a musical faux-debate at the annual Shakespeare in the Park Public Theater Gala in Central Park, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly.

Unrecognizable in her costume, Streep's Trump traded Shakespearean jabs with Baranski's Clinton, captured on video and shared on Twitter by reporters and attendees:
