You want to give your interviewers positive impressions about you, so you can say something like:

"My professor fully understands my situation and agrees with me that I need to take more care of my family while continue to advance my career (or spend more time with my family) . Your organization/company is closer to my home and the role here fits me well. Therefore I am more than happy to pursue this job..."

Basically you just don't say it what is true that your professor puts lots of barriers in front of you and you hate him. If you really say it, this employer might think you might not be an easy going person to work with...
