It's been nearly 100 years since Robert Ripley of Ripley's Believe it or Not fame first went to China. Now, the company that inherited Ripley's legacy is headed back to China to do business.
Bob Masterson is president of Ripley Entertainment. He said, "We have had a strong interest in China for a long time."
Uh, yea. So has every other amusement park run by a mouse, a dog or otherwise.
China's 1.3 billion people love to be entertained and to travel...but then so do people of any culture.
Ripley's Believe it or Not attraction atop Hong Kong's Victoria Peak prospered for a long time according to Masterson. It taught the company that the Chinese have an affinity for the odd. It also taught the company to maintain upkeep.
