Edvard Grieg wrote the music for the theatre play, Perr Gynt. This colorful folk-take relates the adventuresome travels of Peer Gynt, a Norwegian mountain boy.
Morning was written for Act IV of the play, with Peer Gynt having arrived in Africa.
