This exhibition is jointly organized by the Sichuan Museum and the Silk Road Art Museum of Hirayama Ikuo, Japan. A total of 294 pieces (sets) of cultural relics are displayed, showing the customs, trade exchanges, and the exchange and integration of Eastern and Western cultures on the Silk Road.

In 138 BC, Zhang Qian of the Western Han Dynasty sent an envoy to the Western Regions and opened up a trade route connecting the Central Plains with Central Asia, West Asia and the Mediterranean countries starting from Chang'an (now Xi'an, Shaanxi). This road was called the "Silk Road." After the development of the Han, Jin, and Northern Dynasties, the Silk Road reached its peak in the Tang Dynasty and played an important role in promoting trade, cultural, religious and technological exchanges between the East and the West.

Exhibits include the 4th century BC "Bull Head-shaped Red Painted Pottery Flagon", the 2nd to 2nd Century BC "Crown", the 2nd to 3rd Century AD "Buddha Statue", the Han Dynasty "Bronze Unicorn Tomb", and the Tang Dynasty "Crown" Bronze Mirror with Flower Pattern of Lucky Beast, Luan and Bird" etc.
