New York (CNN Business)It has been a turbulent week on Wall Street. 

GameStop (GME) soared some 100% at the opening bell, after trading platforms including Robinhood lifted restrictions on trading the stock. It was up 65% in the early afternoon Friday.

Elsewhere on Wall Street, the picture was bleak. 

The Dow (INDU) tumbled 2.2%, or 670 points in early afternoon trade. The broader S&P 500(SPX) was also down 2.2%. The Nasdaq Composite (COMP) fell 2.4%.
