一个乞丐模样的人走进一家酒店，买了杯啤酒后跟男侍应开聊起来。乞丐问侍应，相不相信他可以咬自己的左眼睛，侍应不相信。于是他们打赌，赌的是二十美金。

乞丐不慌不忙的从口里取下上下颌假牙，握在手里朝自己的左眼做了几下咬合的姿势算是咬过了。

侍应无法，只能用二十美金打发乞丐走了。

深夜，乞丐又转回来了。这时他已是酊酩大醉语无伦次了。要过一杯啤酒后，他又要跟侍应打赌。乞丐说他可以将小便射在一尺开外的啤酒瓶里，一滴都不洒到外面。侍应看著他醉醺醺的模样，知道他做不到，于是又和他赌，赌的是两百美金。

果然，乞丐站立起来，尿液洒得满地都是，甚至还灒到侍应的身上。见状，侍应和众酒客都大笑起来。

尿毕，乞丐不慌不忙地从一酒客手里接过五百美金，将其中的两百递给侍应。原来，刚才在酒店时，他跟酒客打过赌，他可以将小便洒在侍应身上而侍应大笑。
