Note: A friend of mine emailed me this song and lyric. I love music, I love roses, and I cherish the friendship.

Some say love, it is a river, that drowns the tender reed

I say love, it is a flower, and you, its only seed

四十年代，陈歌辛创作的“玫瑰玫瑰我爱你”，不但走红全国歌坛，二战结束后，美国流行乐坛还有人把这首歌译成英文Rose Rose I Love You，改编成爵士乐，出版了唱片及乐队曲谱，流行于美国及世界各地，很受世界各国人民喜爱。第一首在国际上流行的中国歌曲。
