Sweet Boy

Evan is a lovey dovey little boy, he is generally in a happy mood and likes to give people hugs and kisses.

Every morning, after I drop him off at his class, we always share bear hugs and kisses and he makes sure the last one lands on the tip of my nose. After I pick him up from his classroom, he always goes to Olivia’s classroom even though it is dark and nobody is there and grabs his sister’s jacket. Then he walks to Preschool 5 where the last few children, including Olivia, always stay. He finds her and hands the jacket to her.

This past Saturday, Olivia had another sleepover at Christopher’s. Sunday morning, after eating breakfast, Evan just kept on bugging me to play with him or read to him, or simply be with him, which made me think what a wise decision we made to have two kids so that they can play together and we can have some time of our ownJ (yes, this mommy is little selfish in that perspective). Anyway, I asked him: “Evan, are you getting bored without Olivia?” He said: “Yeah, I miss Via (Olivia). You go pick her up.”

I left about 12:30 PM to attend a volleyball practice, came back in town super exhausted, then went to pick up Olivia from Christopher’s and did not come home until almost 6PM.

After Olivia and I got inside the house, I heard little foot steps running upstairs, then Evan’s voice: “Mommy, I am upstairs.” “Okay.” I answered while I took off my jacket and everything. He came down stairs and ran towards me, gave me a huge hug and a kiss “Mommy, I love you. I miss you.” My heart just melted. “I love you too!” I squeezed him tightly in between my arms.
