分享父母绿卡申请的经历

在大师们的指点下和网友们的帮助下，父母已经收到绿卡了。现在把申请经历和大家分享一下。

父母均已年过70， 曾多次来美，从来没有延期和逾期过。 这次他们是03/09/2010到的。

1．06/16/2010 体检， 每人＄450 包括体检，疫苗，化验。检查结果在一个密封的信封里， 同时医生也给 了我们一份Hard copy.
2．06/29/2010寄出，父母的材料分别寄出by USPS Priority mail with tracking number.
3．07/07/2010-父母和我均收到receipts（130， 485， 131 的 receipt）
4．07/10/2010 爸爸收到打指纹通知, 07/15/2010 妈妈收到打指纹通知
5．07/29/2010 爸爸打指纹；
尽管妈妈的appointment 是08/03, 和工作人员说说, 妈妈的指纹也打了，
6．08/09/2010 爸爸收到面试通知, 08/21/2010妈妈收到面试通知
7．08/30/2010妈妈收到回美证131; 9/02/2010爸爸收到回美证
8．09/08/2010 父面试 in Philadelphia
9．09/23/2010母面试in Philadelphia
10．09/18/2010 爸爸收到绿卡
11．10/04/2010 妈妈收到绿卡

---申请过程的难点---

1．父母的结婚证 - 文革期间结婚，结婚证早已丢失。

a.单位无法出据他们何时何地结婚的证明因为档案中没有材料显示他们在我们出生前的合法婚姻关系。 真倒霉，和人事处长不认识，他不可能帮忙， 即使大家都知道在那个年代没有结婚是不可能有孩子的。

b.户口本也没有记录。他们原本分居2地，孩子出生后多年才搬到一起， 后来又搬过家。

c.解决办法：通过一个亲戚找到爸爸原籍的镇长出据了一份父母何年何月何日在此镇注册结婚的证明并盖章签字。 国内的公证处给这个证明办理了文件公证。 移民局/面试官没有对此提出问题

d.备用方案：请父母任何一方的学院或系领导写一份证明（大家比较熟可能会帮忙）， 然后再请父母的一个朋友/亲戚写一份证明

e.只有爸爸申请才需要结婚证，妈妈的申请不需要

----申请的经验教训----

1．父母出生公证 - 父母单位根据档案和户口本出据证明，国内的公证处办理公证

2．子女出生公证 - 证明父母子女关系 – 我寄回护照复印件和照片父母单位出据子女关系证明，国内的公证处办理公证

3．体检 – 如果有国内的预防针证明，可以节省150-250刀。我们没准备就都打了。

4．经济担保 –只填了 I-864EZ，用了我一个人的收 入。

5．邮寄的材料 –

i.父母申请分别寄出

ii.因为他们都申请了485 ，130和 131 （回美证），我把3个申请表和SUPPORT材料分别bundle together

iii.申请材料尽量归类整齐；我在每份公证上都贴了一个小小 的字条说明是什么， LIKE, birth certificate of petitioner XXX; 同类材料尽量clip together with a little note, like, pay stub, txt return form

6．指纹 –妈妈有2个字指头的指纹无法通过机器的标准。 工作人员说送去试试看。当时我们很 担心，看来是没事了。

7．面试 –

a.翻译：以防亲属不能翻译，面试前让父母认真阅读了485。 爸爸面试时，面试官说for this simple case, you can be translator. 妈妈面试时, 面试官说it’s ok you can be translator, please sign this form. It is a very simple form.

b.面试的问题：

i.爸爸的面试官比较死板，问了485上的所有问题， 然后说30天内会收到结果。 我们问他还需要什么材料吗， 他说不需要了，这个案子很简单应该没问题，他只是下午再看一下。 可能已经午餐时间， 他很累了。

ii.妈妈的面试官比较灵活。他只问了几个问题，然后往电脑里敲了一些东西并告诉我们会在3周内收到绿卡。

iii.面试官都问了父母何时来美？来过几次美国？有无逾期？ 为何以前不申请？有几个子女？叫什么名字？ 出生年月？现在的住址，电话？

c.面试的材料

爸爸妈妈的面试官都要了父母的护照并且认真看了。面试官都想要父母的旧护照。但我们说因为早过期了，留在国内没带来， 他们也OK

准备的其它材料都没要， 诸如， latest pay stub, 老的全家照片， 弟弟和妹妹的公民纸。面试官说材料够了.

换回公证原件。爸爸的面试官说我注意到这里有一些原件材料，如果你有复印件，可 以把你 的原件拿回。妈妈的面试时我们也换回了原件.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Ref: Application of I-130 and I-485 concurrently

Enclosed please find form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative and the supporting documents. The petition is filed by XXX, a US Citizen, for her immediate relative (father) XXX, a citizen of P.R. China.

• Employment verification letter from employer,
• Copy of 2009 tax return 1040
• Copy of 2009 w-2
• Copy of most 6 months pay Stubs

1. Application Fee: $1010

4. Copy of XXXs I-94
5. Certificate of Non-criminal record of XXX
6. Form G-325A, Biographic Information, by XXX
7. Form I-693 Medical Examination, by USCIS authorized Doctor
8. Two 2” by 2” photos of XXX

1. Letter of explaining circumstances warrant issuance of Advance Parole
2. Copy of XXX\'s Passport
3. Copy of I-94
4. Two 2” by 2” photos of XXX
