『道德经 第十八章 』（大道废，有仁义）

 第十八章

 

【原文】

大道废，有仁义；慧智出，有大伪；六亲不和，有孝慈；国家昏乱，有忠臣。

 

【译文】

大道被抛弃了，才彰显出仁义。智巧出现了，才会产生虚伪狡诈。父子、兄弟、夫妻不和的时候，才会显出孝慈；国家昏乱的时候，才会出现忠臣。

 

English Translation

When the great Tao is rejected, humanity and justice arise.
When wisdom comes, great falsity arises.
When family members cannot live in harmony, filial piety and compassion arise.
When the nation is in chaos, loyal officials arise.
