Boeing CEO: "We Are Losing Billions and May Have to Shut Down the Company!"

 2023年10月13日
In today's deep dive, we look at Boeing's turbulent history and its recent announcement of probable reorganisation despite billion-dollar deficits. Boeing's current position, as one of the industry's stalwarts, is not just a reflection of its own issues, but also a monument to the rapid shifts in the worldwide business and aviation landscape.

Boeing has been identified with air travel throughout its storied history, linking continents with famous aircraft such as the 747 and the 737. Recent obstacles, ranging from the 737 Max crisis to internal organisational dynamics, have placed doubt on the company's future. While many people recall the Boeing-Airbus competition, the story is considerably richer. Emerging competitors such as Embraer of Brazil, Bombardier of Canada, and Comac of China are adding layers of complexity to an already intensely competitive market.

However, Boeing's tale is linked with geopolitics, environmental concerns, investor views, and technology changes. Boeing's decisions have far-reaching consequences because it is a significant defence contractor. Regulatory organisations, ranging from the United States Federal Aviation Administration to the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, will definitely be watching the company's every step.

Understanding the complexities of Boeing's path is critical for investors, industry enthusiasts, and even the average traveller. While deconstructing the variables influencing its fate, we'll also shed light on broader industry dynamics, investigating how global behemoths adapt, innovate, and handle hurdles in an ever-changing landscape.

So strap in as we soar over this complex web of business tactics, competition, and aeronautical miracles. There's something in this story for everyone, whether you're on Team Boeing or rooting for Airbus, Embraer, Bombardier, or Comac. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more in-depth looks at business and aviation!

The only way to get out of this crisis, is to throw all layers of management out that are not involved directly with the production of the planes. And post some videos about how Boeing takes safety of their designs and testing highly seriously. Airbus recently cooperated in a Flightradar24 short movie, where the 321XLR testingphase was filmed. Brilliant PR.

Listen and learn to your engineers and Inspection teams. Not your accountants, and put managers in charge that care about the end product, not what the New York Stock exchange looks like that might effect their end of year bonus.

Two words.  PMP and MBA.  I loved my engineering job when I worked for Engineers.  When I was forced to work for PMP types who knew nothing about Engineering, my work life because so bad I had to retire after becoming disabled...  My whole office became ulcer and heart problem city...  PMPs are ruining good engineering organizations...

Boeing provided a free training program for domestic 737MAX airlines pilots while it charged other countries' airlines asking for the training under the pretext of "no need".  And that is why the 737 MAX accidents occur.

My dad worked at Boeing for years.  When Boeing bought out MD my dad told me that 'this will be the death of Boeing'.  I don't know how he knew but somehow the MD managers ended up running the show.  The company wasted millions moving the company HQ from Washington, they quit listening to enjineers and were only worried about the profit.  They sold off the plant in Wichita and moved the Air Force one program.  What a mess they have become. Back in the day I was pround of Boeing, and felt safe on the aircraft.  Today, I would rather fly Air Bus.  Shame on those that runied this company.

Just came back from a 6 week overseas trip to Japan and China covering, in addition to Japanese and U.S. flights, multiple flights across China covering cities between Shanghai and the Gobi Desert.

ALL the planes we flew were AIRBUS irrespective of airline. All were well maintained and comfortable irrespective of age.

While Boeing is in decline, AIRBUS in China recently signed new contracts, is expanding, gaining market share with the opening of new production lines and final assembly of aircraft in China.

The management is the problem all along. Cutting cost to inflate earnings so share prices go higher while slackening in quality control ultimately bring down American’s gem.

The engineers who love their jobs must move to other countries, they have over extended themselves and becomes a marketing consultant  company, they have not invested in engineers enough and have become too political.

Boeing’s major curse is that it has a defense contracting division that affects the leadership core focus and ethics.  Not a company that focused on creating excellent planes, but happy with easy defense contracts that hires lazy ex military employees that have nothing to do with aviation. Lol

Boeing has made the repetative and miscalculated mistake of failing to introduce new innovative technology to it's aircraft. It stayed with outdated cockpit design, non fly- by - wire, and older design varients.

Lion Air Flight 610 on October 29, 2018 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 on March 10, 2019, total victims = 346, avoided trial but paid 2.5billions in compensation, how does it tell us about their characters and humanity, how relevant are those planes be allowed to fly again while its safety issues are left non-address? super salesman lindsey graham must be locked out and never be allowed to promote boeing sales again

The problem with Boeing is within internal. Reflected by the extremely flawed design of 737max and attempting to use PR to resolve the issues instead of truly solving the technical safety design.
