 A Laurel Tree Wish
 
Why am I still loving you?
     
The sea has come up,
Submerged my life's beach.
Yet it receded so rapidly,
And swept my youth away.
     
It swept my youth away,
Threw stars to the sky.
Hills and trees are still the same,
Under my feet not the stream of yesterday.
  
Winds gentle and clouds light,
Wild lilies blooming on hills at nightfall.
Who has turned to a Laurel tree under moonlight
To escape the melancholic longing every night?
