a real Obama

(2016-05-02 10:44:46) 下一个

No doubt, he's super smart, but gets off reservation most of time in the past. Now, he hasn't got any string to be humble, no more pressure - a real Obama. If you ask what's his affinity to Americans, white and non-white, that's the reason:

Never afraid of making fun of yourself.

Barack Obama has poked fun at himself in an inspired spoof retirement video - a full eight months before he stands down.

The US President is shown firmly chillaxing as he goes "from Commander-in-Chief to Couch Commander" in a viral Facebook post.

Despite serving until next January, the long races to choose the Republican and Democratic candidates mean the President is in endgame mode for his last year in office.

And he seems to be enjoying it - as he lounges on the Oval Office sofa and puts his feet up on the 130-year-old Resolute Desk.

The video shows the leader of the free world trying to pick the right shades for his look with Vice President Joe Biden.

And after eight years of being chauffeured in his armoured limo The Beast, he returns to the Department of Motor Vehicles to retake his driving test.

There's a joke at the long-running conspiracy theory over where he was born, which led the President to publish his birth certificate in 2011.

Old wounds are made fresh as the DMV clerk demands to see the document as proof of identity - to which Obama replies with a raised eyebrow: "It's real".

The clerk replies: "Is it?". The President insists it's the real deal, and she adds simply: "But is it?".

Obama also gets into trouble on his wife Michelle's Snapchat account

He runs into trouble on Snapchat when a filter disguises him as a ghoulish figure - on his wife Michelle's account.

And he puts aside his differences with former House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner to watch Toy Story and swap notes on retirement.

The President declares "I can wear my mom jeans in peace" , while a gleeful Mr Boehner says: "You know McDonalds serve breakfast all day now?"

When does golf become too much golf?

Obama also squirms as Mr Boehner offers him a cigarette - after rumours last year that he'd broken his vow to give up.

Eventually the President settles on his favourite pastime - playing golf every day for a whole year.

The video - viewed 10 million times on the White House Facebook page - was part of a string of jokes at Obama's final White House Correspondents' Dinner.

He jokingly stuck the boot into toddler Prince George - who attended their first official meeting in his dressing gown.

"That was a slap in the face!" he said. "A clear breach of protocol."
