'失败 凯旋'其实都是幻想......“如果”作者 基普林 翻译 芮成钢

如果所有人都失去理智,咒骂你,而你仍能保持头脑清醒;

如果所有人都怀疑你,而你能够自信如常,并且体谅他们的怀疑;

如果你能耐心等待,不急不躁,或遭人诽谤憎恨,却不去以牙还牙

既不去光彩照人,也不去才华横溢

如果你能去梦想,但却不做梦想的奴隶;

如果你能思辨,但不是为了思考而思考;

如果你能够用平常心坦然面对失败和凯旋,并且懂得它们其实都是---幻想;

如果你能够忍受,你说出的真理被无赖们故意曲解演绎,用以误导愚昧人群;

或者眼睁睁看着你为止付出一切的真爱被人摧毁,然后俯拾碎片,用老旧的工具去细细的修补;

如果你敢把所有人生赢来的筹码堆在一起,冒险一博却一把输光,然后从零开始,永不言败;

如果你能迫使自己,在别人走后,长久坚守阵地,在你心中已空荡荡无一物,只有意志告诉你,坚持!

如果你能与百姓打交道却拒绝随波逐流,与王者同行却不忘庶民的本色;

如果无论是宿敌或是挚友都无法伤害到你;

如果所有人对你都很重要,但又没有谁那么重要;

如果你能惜时如金,分秒必争,你就可以拥有这个世界

而你,我的儿子终将长大成人

If If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,

Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,

Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,

And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;

If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;

If you can meet with triumph and disaster

And treat those two impostors just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

Twiseted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,

And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

And lose, and start again at your beginnings

And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew

To serve your turn long after they are gone,

And so hold on when there is nothin in you

Except the Will which says to them—— Hold on!;

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

Or walk with Kings -nor lose the common touch;

If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;

If all men count with you, but none too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minuteWith sixty second' worth of distance run ours is the

Earth and everything that's in it,

And which is more:

you'll be a Man my son!
