【韩战中的三任 美联军司令】

在朝鲜战争中，担任美联军最高指挥官的有三个人，他们分别是
道格拉斯·麦克阿瑟
（开战至1951-4-11被撤职）
马修·邦克·李奇微
1951年4月接替D.麦克阿瑟任“联合国军”总司令、驻日盟军最高司令和远东美军总司令，5月晋升上将（任期13个月）。
马克·韦恩·克拉克 
1952年4月，克拉克任美国远东地区总司令，并在5月从李奇微手里接任联合国部队指挥官。
(14个月后) 即1953-7-27 代表美国 和联合国军 在 朝鲜停战协定上签字。

During the Korean War, he took over as commander of the United Nations Command on May 12, 1952, succeeding General Matthew Ridgway.

27 July 1953 159th Plenary Session meets at 10 A.M. at Panmunjom.
UN Command Senior Delegate Harrison and Communist Senior Delegate Nam Il sign the Armistice Agreement.
General Clark, Commander-in-Chief, signs the agreement in the afternoon at Munsan Base Camp,
thus ending two years and seventeen days of negotiations.

1953年7月27日，“联合国军”总司令、美国陆军上将马克·克拉克于汶山的帐篷里在停战协定上签了字。
克拉克后来回忆朝鲜战争的情况时说：
“1952年5月，我受命为‘联合国军’统帅，代表17个国家，在韩国抵抗共产党侵略。15个月以后，我签订了一项停战协定……那个不幸半岛上的战争，对我来说这亦表示我40年戎马生涯的结束。它是我军事经历最高的一个职位，但是它没有光荣。在执行我政府的训令中，我获得了一项不值得羡慕的荣誉，那就是我成了历史上签订没有胜利的停战条约的第一位美国陆军司令官。我感到一种失望和痛苦。我想我的前任麦克阿瑟和李奇微两将军一定具有同感。”

On July 27, 1953, at the 159th plenary session, an Armistice agreement was formalized. Believing himself to be the first U.S. commander to agree to an Armistice without victory, Clark signed the peace documents at U.N. Command advance headquarters at Munsan-ni,
stating afterwards, "I cannot find it in me to exalt at this hour."

李奇微 上将

When General Douglas MacArthur was relieved of command by President Harry Truman in April, Ridgway was promoted to full general, assuming command of all United Nations forces in Korea. 

李奇微 中将，本是美8军长 (the eighth army) , 麦克阿瑟被撤，李被擢升为上将，统辖在韩的所有美联军。后升任美陆军总参谋长。

Lt. General Matthew Ridgway – Ridgway was sent to Korea by the Joint Chiefs of Staff to clean up the mess in Korea left behind by General MacArthur when the Chinese forced MacArthur and his UN forces back to the Manchurian Border and recaptured Seoul – South Korea’s capital.
On August 17, 1953, Ridgway replaced General J. Lawton Collins as the Chief of Staff of the United States Army.

杜鲁门 与 麦克阿瑟上将


朝鲜战争初期，麦克阿瑟曾指挥“联合国军”成功实施仁川登陆，将朝鲜人民军击溃，曾放言于圣诞节前结束战斗。
但1950年10月25日至1951年1月8日，经过入朝后的三次战役，
彭德怀率领的中国人民志愿军将麦克阿瑟率领的“联合国军”由鸭绿江边赶到三七线附近，
志愿军攻克汉城，这让他吃尽了苦头，丢尽了颜面。

于是1951年4月11日，麦克阿瑟劝说杜鲁门对中国在东北的军事目标进行打击，必要时动用核武器，
杜鲁门恐此举会导致苏联参战而不同意，在麦克阿瑟公开指责白宫政策后，杜鲁门解除了他一切职务。
麦克阿瑟返回美国后曾在国会发表演讲，继续主张扩大侵略战争，
对中国实行经济封锁，怂恿蒋介石反攻大陆等政策。美国国会亦曾举行麦克阿瑟听证会。
1952年，麦克阿瑟企图获得共和党总统候选人提名，但未能成功。
此后任兰德打字机公司董事长，著有回忆录《往事的回忆》。
1964年4月5日，麦克阿瑟在沃尔特·里德陆军医院因病死去。
