无须多加介绍的作品。作者藤子·Ｆ·不二雄少年时受手冢治虫的影响，投身漫画事业。１９７０年，藤子创作的《机器猫》开始在《小学馆》杂志上连载，一炮打响。１９７９年制成动画后，至今已被译成数十种语言在全世界发行。
藤子·Ｆ·不二雄动画剧长一直是电视的收视保证，《神气小子》、《Ｑ太郎》、《奇天列百科全书》等都是藤子的招牌作品。笔者记忆中的“叮当”初次在国内刊物上出现是在８０年代初期的《少年科学画报》上，其后通过在中央电视台播放风行全国，我国新动漫事业发展初现涟漪。藤子·Ｆ·不二雄于１９９６年９月在东京去世，现由新秀田中道明继续绘画“机器猫”故事。
