Dear Family and Friends,
We are happy to announce our engagement as of Thursday, March 15th, 2001.Here is a synopsis of our Thursday adventure, but we hope you'll take time to enjoy the long version.
I arranged to have lunch with Lepton on Thursday after she got back from her interview trip to North Carolina. I prepared a picnic and surprised her with it. I took her to Hamilton Pool, where we had first gone on Valentine's day. Unknown to her, I arranged to have my friend Ben plant flowers and a picture frame at the pool. The picture frame had this enscription: On March 15th in the year 2001, Will and Lepton were engaged in this very spot. Hamilton Pool, Texas
I carefully led her to the prearranged spot where she discovered the frame,at which time I took out the ring and popped the question.
I thank God for making my plans work out and blessing us with such a beautiful sunny day. We also give praise for the joy and peace He has given us in grace. We know without God's involvement, our relationship and love could never be as beautiful. We are very thankful for all our supportive friends and family. I also want to give a special thanks to Ben, without whom the plan would have never worked out the way it did.

The story of Will and Lepton's engagement.
"I have to get rid of this thing" was the thought that kept running through Will's mind. He had bought the ring a week before, and now it was burning him up having to hold on to it waiting for her to return.
Finally on Wednesday, Lepton returned from her long and tiring interview trip to North Carolina. Will arranged to have lunch with her the next day, all the while hoping she won't turn him down, fearing she'll be too busy with all the homework she had to do. So Thursday came and Will started to execute his master plan. First a trip to Randall's for the flowers and lunch. Next a trip to Motorola Parmer to hand the mission items to his hand picked special agent, Mr. Ben Huang.
Will arrived at Lepton's residence with ring safely tucked away in his jean pocket and a picnic basket ready to go. She was still in her pajamas expecting him to bring leftovers. So she rushed in glee to change when she was shown the basket.
Will tried to keep calm on the long long drive to Hamilton Pool. Many times he feared discovery. As they approached the mission destination and the anticipated call from his agent had not yet arrived, Will's palms begin to sweat profusely. The weather was warm however, and Lepton did not notice. Will began to panic and millions of contingency plans raced through his mind, all the while Lepton was going on about her trip to N.C. and all the sights she had seen. But it went in the right ear and out the left even as Will tried to concentrate on what was being said. If you were to ask him about the conversation now, he will tell you he does not remember a single detail.
Finally the agent called. Unfortunetly the chosen communication device was getting precariously out of range and just as Will and Ben were speaking in code about the plan, static came on the line, and then silence. The only information Will was able to gather was that the mission destination would have many bystanders. Will was resolved though, and kept driving without showing his dissappointment as his carefully laid out plan seemed to fall apart before him.
Will discretly searched out his agent's car as he went to park and was relieved that Lepton did not recognize it since it was hidden amongst the other cars. He went to the bathroom to try to contact his agent, but no luck. The walk down the trail seemed like an eternity to Will as he kept thinking about what would happen if his agent was spotted. The sound of the waterfall steadily grew louder as Will and Lepton approached the emerald green pool beneath a cloudless blue sky. There was indeed a crowd of civilians and Will remarked several times how incredulous it was given that it was a weekday. "Didn't these people have to work?"
Will started to lead Lepton to the prearranged spot and his heart was lightened to discover that his agent had recruited several of the civilians to help signal that everything was okay. But it seemed like another eternity before Will was finally able to bring Lepton to the spot where the mission items had been placed. Agent Ben's face popped out of the rocks where he was hiding for a brief second but Lepton obviously did not see him. Lepton was about to pass the items without a second look before Will stopped her and said, "oh look." One was the box of flowers already mentioned. The other was a metal picture frame with an enscription, "On March 15th in the year 2001, Will and Lepton were engaged at this very spot. Hamilton Pool,
Texas". But it was too dark to see and Lepton did not read it. As Lepton was about to walk away again, Will shouted, "read it, read it." Lepton glanced at the frame but still didn't see the names. She then admonished, "don't be nosy, somebody probably just got engaged here." Will could no longer contain himself and blurted with a desparate look on his face, "not yet!" Now she got it.
As Lepton stood frozen in shock, Will took out the ring that was burning a hole in this pocket, got down on one knee and popped the question. She paused way too long before whispering, "yes."
