I would rather like my instinct be wrong

While I was driving, my passenger was reading local headline news about a fatal accident occurred hours earlier. The facts were few, one of the drivers was on her way to work. My heart sank. One of my coworkers, who was very punctual on the dot didn't show up in the morning and her time of arrival coincided with the time of accidents. I would rather my instinct be wrong.

She had a very distinct voice, every syllable was crystal clear. We lost a body and a soul.

Sorry to bring up this heavy topic in a Monday morning.  We are here reading a post or writing a comment is reason enough.
