1. Zoning
Carrier Infinity uses ABCD(RS485+/RS485-/COM/24VAC, color GYWR). An example is to use 58MVB/58MVC/58CVA furnace (it has ABCD bus, HUM, all conventional terminals, and two for OAT), an infinity control (thermostat, it has ABCD bus and S1,S2), and optionally aircon (24APA5 has ABCD bus, or else you connect Y/C of condenser with furnace terminals).
Infinity control (UI, SYSTXCCUID01) acts like a thermostat, yet its internal temp sensors can be override by a remote room sensor (auto detected and override) via S1/S2 terminal on UI or OS1/OS1C on a damper control module. If outdoor device has no ABCD, an optional OAT(outdoor air temp sensor) can be added to UI or furnace OAT terminals.
When non ABCD device is used, at UI initial power up it will show outdoor unit not found and allows user to input heatpump size and speed (1 or 2) and electric heater, followed with filter, etc. Many other functions are included.
Infinity Network Interface Module (NIM SYSTXCCNIM01) allows connection of a Carrier HRV(heat recovery ventilator) or ERV(energy recovery Ventilator for non zoning, non ABCD dual fuel heat pump for dual fuel, or non ABCD two-speed aircon.
Each Infinity damper control (SYSTXCC4ZC01) module support 4 zones, max 2 modules. Evaporator mush have TXV and system shall not have bypass damper. Each zone needs a sensor, either UI, Smart Sensor (SYSTXCCSMS01), you need to set zone address) or Remote Room Sensor (SYSTXCCRRS01, often sold by four). The damper board has two ABCD bus and right one for high power units, it also have damper/sensor terminals of four zones.Infinity System Design:

Carrier damper closed at 45deg thus the dampep plate is oval. 45deg is more stable than 90deg.The damper uses 24VAC with 1NM=10lbf,three pins: on/gnd/off.
2. 58MVB
Infinity 96是Carrier的高档系列,特点是用RS485总线UI(用户接口--就是温控器)称为Infinity control而非传统继电器控制的thermostat。长按Advnaced纽10秒进入install/service方式。我用的是two zone分管楼上楼下,用14/12“ power damper和独立UI。系统自动调整调整到最佳状态,兼顾舒适和快速温控。可以外加多点温度探头, 每个分区控制器支持4区,可级联扩充。如果觉得Infinity的分区控制贵,可以用honeywell。系统表现是舒适、风量小、可调温湿度,每吨风量可选350/400CFM。
分区控制比较适合楼房,但是系统设计施工要求较高,因此可以看到许多二层楼房用的是两套系统,许多分区系统使用balance damper。Balance damper自身也有一些缺点,Infinity不需要,是比较好的设计。

3. 暖气和蒸发器安装
由6月中到10月中的周末,多半都用在了该项目上,拆除旧暖气、煤气管烟囱改道、出风口模具和锯铣、DIY铁皮箱、装flexible和regid duct,PVC管道、加电...今天第一次试运行成功,风量不大,暖气几分钟后就有感觉。
旧暖气是floor furnace,卸掉后利用原开孔做return,不然补地面也不好看。所有管道和总共13个出风口都是新加的。因结构限制,二楼前面的小屋没有加管也不打算用。
与第一套房类似,系统除coil是ADP外全是Carrier,包括附件如thermostat。因为用了积压/二手/DIY,价格不可复现,就不提了。网上价格,两个温控约700刀,2damper加分区盒更多一些,furnace/AC/coil另计。
结构上,垂直furnace/coil上是出风箱,它接14“/12“ damper,14” damper与散风箱连体悬挂,后者控制一楼,并使用了两个小箱而非wye分布;12” damper独立悬挂再去二楼。Damper的拆装不影响出风箱。出风箱装了两根角铝,用螺丝可以把它抬高以便更换coil/furnace。分区控制器直接装在出风箱上。有几处箱子和管道都是DIY的,比较复杂的厨房走管有三层。挑战在于布置管道,因为这个房子能走管的地方很少。地下室高度有限,差一点就只能横装了。上二楼的管道,是在一楼浴室的tub/toilet之间的重构墙内,为此重新定位热水器的烟囱。浴室/厨房/的管道都是在上次装修时预留的。自己住,当然是不计成本工时,地面出风都是地板齐平的oak
register,为卧室和厅配了不同颜色。
暖气是80K BTU、两级气阀、变速马达,空调部分已经买了Payne(Carrier) 3 ton的外机和ADP的4 ton coil,当然coil已经放上了,空调以后装。之所以用ADP一是以前用过不错,它是多家的OEM,是铜管的;二是Carrier/Trane的coil多年前也漏过的,现在是铝的。因为空调主要是二楼用,选了较小容量,常规thermostat接线。空气滤清空间很大适合各种滤网(现用4吋厚的拟再加廉价粗滤)加Trion静电除尘器(下图3),能监测风量自动开关机,故未使用Infinity的EAC端头。Trion的取出清洗都很方便。
上图1-2是1/2楼用的zone controller。主控左上为zone选择,子控用于临时调整。主控下盖掀开,中间哑铃是上下光标可按HOLD键3/2秒来设置/恢复非占用模式,与假期模式不同的是后者自动恢复。编程可选ALL DAYS或逐日等多模式并可拷贝。右侧有制热、制冷、OFF-ON键,同时按制热/制冷为自动模式。

旧的和新的:
用了1个月,效果很好。出了约10gallon水,像个除湿器似的。这两天把预留的sump pit装好了。Liberty sump pump自带check vavle,但是在上平面又加了一个,因为管道与洗衣机兼用,不想洗衣机的水往sump pit流,不加也可以,因pump下端自带。洗衣机出水也有check valve。

Humidifier与6“管一起,分别连到出风/回风箱上。建议在电子除尘器下游,免得水汽影响。我这冬天是雨季,室内湿度68-70,故不用加湿器。

PG&E下来检查热水器要我关暖气,但先打开了煤气管道看热水器有无煤气,几秒中而已,但不知会否造成暖气的煤气压力不足。人走后似乎暖气打不开了,错误码23:PRESSURE SWITCH DID NOT OPEN -Check for:-Obstructed pressure tubing.- Pressure switch stuck closed.
面板掀开后面是错误码和接线图,机器有橡胶细管由上部燃烧室、中部煤气阀的三通去下部BA20123 pressure switch。本系统另有分区damper,但可见角度为开且开机后Blower转后室内风口有风,认定damper即送風道正常。注意:blower是送風扇,inducer是排風扇=排廢氣。
BA20123包括两個壓力传感器,左LPS=LowHeat Pressure switch是heating pressure,但錯碼31稱爲High pressure switch,貼紙1.6min-1.81max "WC;右LGPS=LowGas Pressure switch,錯碼32稱爲low pressure switch,貼紙0.81 "WC PF,這裏"WC=inch water colume=0.036psi。图纸#8说明若產品不用LGPS則應短接。實際两个都是NO。两个各拔掉一线量得电阻无穷大=open,开机报错32=low pressure switch not closed;关机插上LGPS重新开机,煤气点火但报错31=high pressure switch not closed,带电插上左边后能听到继电器响声,煤气立即停火但错误码不变;关电再重开机工作正常无错码。次日又恢复原状。以下簡稱HPS和LPS=LGPS。
错码保存72小时,可按一下步骤读回:去除面板和下部控制箱盖板,PCB最左侧DIP SW1-1拨为ON,错码由黄色LED指示,快闪为十位数慢闪为个位数,由11开始循环播出。记录后记得把SW1-1复位。
Test: 去除面板和下部控制箱盖板,控制箱门开关用胶布贴下,PCB最左侧DIP SW1-6拨为ON,即开始inducer、煤气点火、blower各15秒。可没错码只有11=历史清除。
Diag:按58MVC的步骤去ABCD总线或R,看damper是开启位置,短接W/W1和R制热,没有错码。系统复原重新启动,一切正常没有错码。估计清除错码有帮助。
启动的顺序是:先自检无动静、blower转一阵然后停,此时LPS一端为24VAC,另一端及HPS为0;启动inducer一阵后LPS闭合两端均24VAC、点火、blower中速;blower高速,HPS两端为24VAC当为HighHeat;blower降速,其余不变。這些説明開始時或僅blower轉時LPS是NO,然後inducer轉,LPS閉合煤氣點火且blower中速-HPS是閉合,blower轉高速且HPS打開,至此LPS和HPS的檢測完成,blower轉低速工作態。正常时压力开关进风侧、低压废气侧负压>1 WC,如二者之一堵塞压力变化则开关异常。
低压pressure switch 0.81 WC PF意味着开关在0.81inch water column压力下闭合。inducer电机将废气排出将造成不低于1 WC的负压,pressure switch另一软管是燃烧室来的气压通常不高(否则为进气管堵塞,同时送去煤气阀),压力差使得开关闭合将24V传到煤气阀使其开通,点火后温度传感器检测到,延时后启动blower。如果有气压表可测量inducer来的压力。如果inducer出水或后续condensate trap堵塞开关不会闭合,也就无火。打开inducer至condensate trap接口可以判断:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3Ijn-Zd7LU 90%以上furnace常见此问题,有水说明trap堵塞。
长按Infinity Control的Advnaced纽10秒进入install或service方式。允许CheckOut|Furnace,Service下Furnace Status、并查看furnace status、过往错误和产品型号。
LS=Limit switch测得一定温度才闭合送风,不然一点火就送入的是冷风,FRS=Frame Rollout switch在温度超限时断开,两者连用提供24VAC-R,这是24VAC的热端,另一端是COM或接地。LPS=LowHeat Pressure switch有时与LGPS=LowGas Pressure switch连用(#8说明若无LGPS则短接),上图经PL1-4被CPU检测后接通GVR=Gas Valve Relay提供个GV=Gas Valve的M口电压。如果Indurcer未转内部凝水处堵塞或废气管堵塞造成负压不足(某例堵塞时气压由1.46降到0.04)、燃烧进气不足有额外压力则LPS断开,或煤气有泄漏压力不足LGPS断开,则CPU均不会接通GVR即不点火。上面说道LPS导通压力是0.81WC以上。HPS是两级Furnace用的HighHeat Pressure switch,HighHeat启用后压力在1.6~1.81WC时HPS接通,提供GV的HI口电压即提供额外的煤气源。如果不需要HighHeat,CPU将HPSR关断即可。在inducer转动前LPS是打开的不然报23错,当然LPS失效或连接胶管堵塞、燃烧进气堵塞(某例气压由0.06升至0.24)、CPU板检测出错也可能出23错。COMMR是通信继电器,上图为不用ABCD接口的缺省态,否则温控器接通R-W/W1提供24VAC给LPS。
出错23时的强制启动,我想是先拔去LPS,等Inducer转动后再插上。这个错误也许要强制清除,比如通过Test,否则系统可能再次显示23不点火。
WC压力表可以DIY,把1英尺长透明管弯成U型固定在垂直板上,注入颜色水到约一半高度,由色水开始粘上刻度尺,加压后的高度差即为inches of WC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jVl-0PdrRk
20190220: 又不加热了。关电重开风扇转10几秒就停显示Mal Function。去除面板即可看见圆玻璃窗内绿灯亮,黄灯快闪2次慢闪3次=错误码23。关电量得低压pressure switch是导通的,拔气管卸下来,后面的气管还没拔呢再量又是断路的,不肯定前次量的对否。仍按上法Test,没注意到煤气是否点燃,如前次一样只显示11,合盖开机一切正常。
