情人节写卡片

 星期天上午，叫我家小妹妹一起出去参加一个活动，她不肯，说计划在家里做情人节的卡片。后来我还是把她带走了，晚上回家后她立刻开始忙卡片的事。她用Microsoft Publisher做卡片，第一张卡花了好久才写成，她都不好意思给姐姐看，怕别人笑话。
 
Hey, Samantha,
Happy Valentine’s Day! You deserve a special treat,
Because you never ever cheat.
I hope you have a happy day,
Because I think you’re really neat.
 
就这样，她给每个同学要写不同的内容，还要押韵，每张卡都要绞尽脑汁想半晌。后来又拖了姐姐来帮她。我看了几张卡片，有：
 
I’m glad you’re in my class.
You’re like the best green grass.
 
I like you.
You are cool!
So cool you almost froze me!
 
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Aliens are smart,
And so are you!
 
You’re a nerd!
(the candy)
 
给她最好的朋友：
You’ll be my friend forever.
This is because you’re clever.
 
到了晚上九点多钟，妹妹跟姐姐闹矛盾，姐姐生气不帮她了，妹妹嚎啕大哭。我们劝她，随便写一样的卡片就好了，没必要每人不一样。她不肯，说那些小朋友会难过的。她要一大早起来接着写她的情人节卡片，我说，今天这么晚睡觉，早晨怎么可能爬得起来？
 
第二天，我正睡得香甜呢，一个小孩轻轻把我叫醒，“妈妈，帮我开计算机。”一看表，真的，才六点，人家设了闹钟自己起床了。好在她不再琢磨文字游戏，啪啪一会儿就打完了情人卡。我一看，嗯，那口吻跟老师给学生写的学期评语一样，怪不得姐姐老说妹妹太bossy。
 
You write interesting things and have very good handwriting.

You always work quietly and you never disturb others.
 
对于似乎没有很多好品质可以夸的同学，她也找到了闪光之处：
I like you.
You always dress so nicely in class.
 
有时她甚至热情奔放地大声宣布：
Dear Cam, Happy Valentine’s Day!
I love you.
 
二十四份卡片终于准备好，她再给每张卡用透明胶带粘上一个粉红的Hershey's Kisses巧克力，高高兴兴地准备带到学校，手机拍的照片是这样的。

我家妹妹对情人节的态度可真是严肃认真、一往情深啊。
