Looking back on this decade, I've always joked about my LD's unwise career choices. My LD came to the U.S. ten years ago to work in a small start-up company, which later merged with another counterpart, and was then acquired by a big name in the industry: C. I would've loved to see my LD work in a big company with smaller workload and more time with us family. However, he chose to join another burgeoning start-up, and is still working in one.
His very first boss was a U.C. professor, whose sister and brother-in-law hit the richest people list, and are still making headlines, if not on the front page. After the acquisition, LD's x-VPs started their own start-up companies respectively, and tried to recruit my LD, but he'd already made up his mind to join a third one, in a different technical field. Needless to say, the x-VPs' companies were again acquired by C respectively. My LD could've been in C so many times by then, if only he'd chosen to, I wished.
Forget about the third one, because it is history now. And don't bet on the current one. Let's wait and see what's next.
